About HTI
Established in 1998 under the aegis of the Department of Horticulture, Government of Haryana
Motto
The motto of HTI is very simple, i.e., to assist the Haryana Government in developing the skills of extension personnel, farming fraternity, unemployed youths, and house makers. This includes individuals from both the Government Sector and the Private Sector. The aim is to achieve success in providing sustainable employment to the unemployed persons.
Vision
The vision behind establishing the aforesaid training institute is to address the increasing population and unemployment in the country. The State Government believes in the development of skills among the citizens, encouraging them to start their own ventures instead of relying on government jobs. This approach is seen as a method to tackle the grave problem of youth unemployment and others.
Mission
The mission of HTI is to improve and enhance the managerial and technical skills of extension personnel, malis, farmers, unemployed youths, and ministerial staff of the states. This is aimed at providing effective support and services to horticultural growers. HTI also serves as a capacity builder in the field of horticulture, disseminating innovative ideas through training for the betterment of growers in the state and the nation as a whole.
